Battersea Studios consists of two office buildings in the sought-after Battersea district of south-west London. It is important to understand the needs and expectations of existing and potential tenants. Therefore, a fundamental review was carried out with a focus on "health and well-being". The building and administrative operations were subjected to a so-called "wellness gap analysis" in accordance with the Fitwel standard (an American assessment and certification routine for the health and well-being of office buildings).

In the course of the review, commuters were interviewed among the building occupants in order to better understand their needs (e.g. bicycle parking and showers). In addition, a quality guideline for indoor air was developed and signs were put up to promote the use of stairs in elevator areas and hand washing in the bathroom and toilet areas.

The identified renovation projects have been carried out and in March 2019 the Fitwel certification will take place. Building 1 was given a 1-star rating. We will continue to do everything we can to gain a more thorough knowledge of the health and well-being aspects. Ultimately, this not only improves the tenant experience, but also the building and the star rating.
