Schroders Capital has been awarded a significant infrastructure investment accolade by a leading South Korean business publication for the second successive year.
The Korea Economic Daily Global Edition has named Schroders Capital ‘Best of the Best’ for the ‘Infrastructure (Mid Cap)’ category, as part of its Best Asset Managers by Korean Investors awards.
The awards, launched in 2020, recognise the highest performing asset managers based on a comprehensive survey of asset owners in Korea including pensions, sovereign wealth funds, mutual aids, insurance companies and major banks.
Asset managers were ranked across three distinct categories; Performance, Operational Excellence and Client Service.
Last year Schroders Capital also won the ‘Best Communication’ award in the Infrastructure Large Cap category, as part of the same awards.
Georg Wunderlin, Global Head of Private Assets, Schroders Capital, commented:
“This is testament to the quality of Schroders Capital’s infrastructure business and is the result of exceptional team work and the proof of our dedication to delivering excellent client service.”
Chantale Pelletier, Global Head of Infrastructure, Schroders Capital commented:
“This achievement is recognition of the belief our investors and the broader industry have in the team’s ability to identify excellent investment opportunities and deliver robust returns.
“Opportunities in the infrastructure investment space are being driven by key megatrends and we continue to ensure we are well positioned to support investors globally.”
Susan Soh, Head of Asia Pacific, Schroders, commented:
“This award is a fantastic achievement and great profile for our business in the region. The team has worked extremely hard to get to this prime position in South Korea and we’ll continue to strive to service our infrastructure clients with the highest standards.”
Recognising Schroders Capital’s achievement, The Korea Economic Daily added:
“The Best Asset Manager awards express sincere gratitude, on behalf of Korean citizens, to global asset managers that are helping Korean asset owners in managing the retirement savings of Koreans in overseas alternative assets to maximize risk-adjusted returns.”
