Schroders Capital recognised among top ten largest infrastructure credit fundraisers globally

Schroders Capital has been named among the top ten largest infrastructure credit fundraisers globally, according to influential publication Infrastructure Investor.
The ranking is based on the amount of direct infrastructure debt investment capital raised by firms between 1 January 2016 and 31 August 2021.
Last year, the top 20 firms needed to raise at least $1.2 billion to make the ranking, but this has now increased to a minimum of $1.98 billion. Schroders Capital featured among the top ten for the first time having raised $4.4 billion in infrastructure credit.
2021 was a particularly strong year for Schroders Capital’s infrastructure team, with successful fundraisings for the Schroder Euro IG Infra Debt Fund V and for the Schroder Euro Enhanced Infrastructure Debt Fund II.
Chantale Pelletier, Global Head of Infrastructure, Schroders Capital, commented:
“This influential recognition is fantastic testament to the work of our Schroders Capital infrastructure team. Opportunities in the infrastructure investment space are being driven by key megatrends and we continue to ensure we are well positioned to support investors.
“Post Covid-19, infrastructure projects will form the basis of the world’s economic recovery making it even more important for Schroders Capital to position itself as a local infrastructure specialist for our clients but on a global scale, with a global perspective.”
Jerome Neyroud, Head of Infrastructure Debt, Schroders Capital, commented:
